Morgan County offers GREAT WORKFORCE TRAINING RESOURCES
In addition to the award-winning workforce training resources available across the state, Morgan County is minutes away from free robotics training at the Robotics Technology Park. Additionally, Calhoun Community College, the largest community college in the state of Alabama, has a track record of working with local industries to meet their workforce training needs.
Robotics Technology Park is located minutes away from Morgan County and is the country’s first dedicated robotics training center providing free robotics training to all Alabama companies. RTP is an accredited test facility for the American Welding Society and 50% of students are associated with Automotive industries in Alabama.
Calhoun Community College, the largest community college in the state, is located in Decatur, Alabama. Many of the programs and coursework provide training for automotive suppliers and OEMs. Two of the top programs at Calhoun are Advanced Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician.
F.A.M.E. AMT
The Alabama F.A.M.E. (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education) Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program (AMT) is a partnership between the college, Toyota, and other area manufacturers that provides a two-year technical Associate degree.

Curriculum is designed to meet the needs of local industries. Among others, courses include Machine Tool Technologies/CNC Programming, Welding, Design Drafting and 3D Modeling, and Industrial Maintenance.

Tennessee Valley Training Center provides the safety, health, environmental, and workforce training the local workforce needs to work on local industrial sites. All training systems and program development are consistent and current with applicable government and owner rules, regulations, and industry best practices.
